The Embroidered Totes are each a one of a kind, hand embroidered tote bag made of recycled canvas. Emily draws and embroiders the design on each bag by hand with care in Italy.
Emily's love of embroidery came to her as she was working as an art teacher to elementary school children in NYC, teaching young students the skill of decorative embroidery. The design idea came in a similar manner, with an attention to her community and the relationships within, Emily noticed the influence we have on the people are us - how our connections to others shape us and bind us together. Emily's own tote has traveled with her, from classroom to classroom and from country to country as she moved from New York to Torino. Hers has carried craft supplies to schools, picnic treats to local parks, copious amounts of sunscreen to the beach, and all she needs in her daily life. She hopes your bag can do the same, carry your treasures and remind you of the friendships that decorative your days.
